This half-day workshop invites participants to deepen cultural confidence through an embodied, trauma-integrated understanding of whiteness, power, privilege and their impacts within organisational systems.

The workshop builds capacity for culturally safe leadership, accountability, and shared responsibility in creating environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, residents and communities feel safe, valued and culturally held.
The learning outcomes from this workshop are:
1.Identify how white privilege and power shape organisational culture and decision-making.
2.Understand how intergenerational trauma interacts with contemporary systems and leadership behaviour.
3.Recognise how cultural safety is created (and disrupted) through everyday actions, policies and relationships.
4. Deeper comprehension of whiteness as a structural position rather than personal blame.
5.Apply the We Al-li 7Rs – Respect, Rights, Responsibility, Relatedness, Resilience, Reciprocity, Resonance – as a leadership framework for shared accountability and relational practice.
6.Articulate concrete commitments for strengthening cultural safety, equity and trust within the organisation.

Synaptic Explosion is a vibrant dot painting that captures the electrifying moment when healing and understanding collide – those rare, luminous flashes where everything suddenly makes sense. This work is inspired by the internal fireworks that erupt in our minds and spirits when fragmented memories, feelings, and truths find each other and fuse into clarity.
Each dot is a neuron, a moment, a memory – firing, connecting, transforming. As the dots ripple outward from the centre, they reflect the nonlinear journey of healing: chaotic, radiant, and full of life. The explosion isn’t violent it’s liberating. It’s the moment the fog lifts, the heart opens, and the body breathes a little deeper.
The painting honours those sacred, often unexpected breakthroughs where old wounds start to alchemize into wisdom, and we begin to truly remember ourselves. The colour palette evokes both the mystery of the unknown and the warmth of being held by something bigger – call it Country, spirit, or self-love.
Synaptic Explosion invites the viewer to step into their own story of unraveling and becoming. It’s a visual celebration of inner change, and the beauty that can emerge from chaos when we allow ourselves to feel, to listen, and to heal.
